Socrate Redux (Eine Fotoausstellung von Massimo Barberio)
Located in Bari, a mid-size town in the South of Italy, Socrate Occupato is an old school building squatted in 2009 by some Ethiopian, Eritrean and Sudanese refugees with the support of a group of local activists. In absence of immigration policies and reception procedures, self-organization constituted then for the occupiers the only way to get a safe place to live and socialize. Today Socrate Occupato is a collective house project and a space for antiracist theory and praxis: more than 400 people are beeing informed about their rights as refugees and about medical prevention, more than 100 have a home, and almost 70 people obtained a proof of residence, the necessary condition to get a job.
20 Uhr – Focaccia Pugliese (Eine Focaccia wird mit Kartoffeln und Tomaten gebacken.) und Salade
Davor und Danach – Fotoausstellung, Focaccia, Kicker und Tresen.
